    Mak, Cecily

    Cecily Mak is the Chief Revenue Officer and General Counsel at Flipboard, Inc. She is also a published author, teaches digital media law at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, and serves as an active advisory board member to a number of domestic and international early-stage startups in the digital media/tech industries.

    In her capacity as CRO she oversees ongoing innovation and operations across the company’s various global business teams including direct sales, revenue strategy, business development and publisher relations. As General Counsel, Cecily oversees all of the company’s legal matters, including governance, fundraising, securities law, commercial agreements and transactions, litigation, intellectual property, and supporting Flipboard's joint venture and M&A transactions.

    Adjunct Professor Rachel Proffitt is a partner at Cooley LLP. Rachel practices corporate and securities law and represents public and private clients, as well as venture capital and investment banking firms and other institutional investors, across a broad range of industries. Her practice focuses on general corporate and complex transactional matters, including venture capital transactions, public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions, and public-company disclosure and corporate governance. Prior to joining Cooley, Rachel was a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
